FORMING A GATEWAY TO THE WHOLE CALTONGATE DEVELOPMENT, THIS FLAGSHIP HOTEL WILL FORM ONE OF THE LANDMARK FEATURES OF THE MODERN CITY.

At over 200,000 sq ft, the hotel will play a central role in the business and leisure life of Edinburgh. Its soaring, full height atrium is entered via a striking contemporary frontage on Parliament Way, the new thoroughfare forming the principal link between Waverley Station and the Scottish Parliament. A second entrance, via a retained façade on the Royal Mile, will offer direct access from one of the most celebrated historic streets in Europe.

Designed to reflect the distinctive contours of the site, the hotel will feature a café bar on the upper ground level, overlooking the public square at the focal point of the development. It will incorporate over 200 rooms and suites, around 26,000 sq ft of comprehensive state-of-the-art conference facilities, and a health spa. There is scope for the further development of serviced apartments adjacent to the hotel building.

The hotel will draw business from the conferencing, incentive and corporate sectors as well as the higher end of the leisure and tourist market. Its excellent transport links, with access to the national rail network and express airport shuttle services virtually on the doorstep, will make it the preferred choice for many visitors.
